We will never eradicate poverty without quality education for all.
— Global Education Monitoring

Heart2Heart USA is an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to support the educational, nutritional, and medical daily needs of people living in poverty.

We promote awareness of their struggles and opportunities; raise funds that go to house, feed, clothe, and educate those who would not otherwise have these basic needs met; and develop and implement educational and vocational programs leading to self determination.

The beginning...

Heart2Heart began the Education Sponsorship Program while working with a small orphanage in rural Kenya.  The children needed to walk 3 miles to access water every morning before school. During the trek for water, girls were being abducted and worse.

Our solution? Find one person to sponsor the education of one girl in private school where she would be safe and well educated. Even though Kenya ranks higher than many African countries in educating girls, it remains 35th out of the bottom 75 countries for girl education and ranks number 11 below Congo.

Where we are now...

We began with ten girls, and in 20 years Heart2Heart Sponsors have educated over 130 students, both girls and boys, one sponsor to one child at a time. Our sponsorship program encourages interaction with students and their sponsors, providing our students with a sense of individual care and undivided attention.

Our partners in Kenya

Above are our partners in Kenya during a meeting at St. Benedict’s Academy. Among them are Mr. Joseph Oguta, Head Teacher at St. Benedict’s and leading partner - he is also heads above everyone else. In front of him in a white blouse is Alice Achieng, long-time Heart2Heart Student Liaison and low flying angel. The second to the left of Mr. Oguta, with the world’s most genuine smile, is Mr. Gideon Odero, Child and Human Rights Advocate and liaison between Heart2Heart schools, children’s’ guardians, for whatever issue may arise.

We Are Heart2Heart because They are the Beating Heart in Kenya.
